An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Coder to join our growing Health Information Services team.

As a Clinical Coder your responsibilities will include:
- Providing accurate, quality clinical coding
- Assisting with billing and health fund queries
- Assisting with coding / health fund audits
- Provision of timely and accurate clinical coding data using ICD-10-AM (12th Edition)
- Participating in performance improvement activities
Essential requirements:
- Bachelor of HIM or the completion of HIMAA Intermediate/Advanced ICD-10-AM coding course
- Up-to-date knowledge, experience and practice using ICD-10-AM (12th edition)
- Ability to work in a small team environment
- Minimum of 2 years clinical coding experience
- Experience in a variety of casemix - cardiology, cardiothoracics and orthopaedics would be highly regarded
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience with the webPAS patient information system
- Experience using 3M Codefinder
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite e.g. Excel
- Coding experience in a Private Health Care setting
- Knowledge of private health fund contracts
