Clinical Coder
About the role
As the Clinical Coder you will be required to code all Central Highlands Rural Health (CHRH) inpatient episodes to an agreed quality and quantity in accordance with internal and external deadlines. CHRH utilises the OPAL(Bossnet) Scanned Health Record application across the organisation - you will have the option to base yourself at any one of our campuses or explore a hybrid working model.
Are you right for this role?
- Degree in Health Information Management or appropriately recognised Clinical Coding qualifications and eligible for membership of the Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA)
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical coding experience unsupervised
- Excellent knowledge of clinical coding standards and principals
- Sound communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organise, set priorities and meet deadlines
Details of Appointment
Permanent 24 hours per week
Salary: $48.49 Per hour + 10.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging

Central Highlands Rural Health (CHRH) is a rural health organisation that operates five campuses across Hepburn Shire and the Macedon Ranges in the Central Highlands of Victoria in Australia, north and north-west of Melbourne. It was formed through the voluntary amalgamation of Hepburn Health Service and Kyneton District Health on the 30th November 2019. Each of our campuses retains the name of the township in which they are situated - Clunes Health, Creswick Health, Daylesford Health, Kyneton Health, and Trentham Health.
