Position Title: Clinical Coding Auditor
Location: Southport
Remuneration: $61.13 - $66.51 per hour
The Role
An opportunity has become available for casual Clinical Coding Auditors to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Participate in the Gold Coast Health’s Clinical Coding education, evaluation and auditing program
- Complete Queensland Cancer Registry notifications and appropriate Electronic Validation Application (EVA) error review
- Utilise Code Focus for the purpose of managing coding assignment and supporting key clinical coding workflows
- Actively contribute to the quality improvement, education activities and other initiatives to ensure compliance with National and State health coding guidelines
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Diploma in Clinical Coding or relevant qualification (HIMAA or OTEN course)
- White not mandatory, extensive coding experience within a healthcare/tertiary facility is highly desirable
- High level computer skills in a range of systems, including relevant eHealth, clinical information systems and other software applications
- Evidence of vaccination and remain vaccinated against - COVID 19
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
