The Opportunity
These new senior roles are an opportunity for experienced Health Information Managers and Clinical Coders to join the Healthscope Revenue Cycle Management team and make a real difference in the education and auditing space. This is not a pure auditing role, you will be involved in the education and development of our coding workforce across all levels as well as structured and ad hoc audits. There will be a mix of onsite and remote work and we welcome enquiries and applications from HIMs and coders in all states and territories. Particular locations of interest are Gold Coast, Sydney metro and regional and Melbourne metro and surrounds.
The Coding Auditor / Educator will be involved in all aspects of Coding and Clinical Documentation operations, governance and process improvement across our broader Revenue Cycle. Reporting to the National or State Coding Manager(s) this role is pivotal in providing site support in training and education, structured and ad hoc audits as well as formulation of best practice processes and guidelines.

About You
You will be an experienced HIM or CC with demonstrated experience in audits, training programs and mentoring junior coders / HIMs.
Your knowledge of the National Coding Standards is outstanding and you are confident in sharing your knowledge and applying the standards to audits and education.
You have knowledge of health funding models (public and / or private) and a strong understanding of DRG structures, influences and dependencies
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Bachelor of Health Information Management (or equivalent) or a recognised Clinical Coding qualification.
- More than 5 years' experience in roles coding, HIS operations, auditing and training.
- Eligibility for membership with the Health Information Management Association of Australia
- Post-graduate qualification in Clinical Coding auditing or be open to working towards.
- Experience within the private health sector (desired)
