The Position
Title: Health Information Manager
Department: Health Information Services
Classification: In accordance with qualifications & experience
Hours per fortnight: 80
Status: Permanent Full Time
Applications are sought from suitably qualified Health Information Managers to work in Health Information Services at Echuca Regional Health.
Key responsibilities include:
- Clinical Coding
- Statutory Reporting of VAED, VEMD, VINAH & AIMS data
- Supervision of RCP Discharge Summary Module including user orientation and data integrity
- Participation & direction of quality activities relating to HIS and data integrity
Our team requires someone who has:
- Qualifications in Health Information Management
- Eligibility for membership of Heath Information Management Association of Australia
- High-level awareness of National Coding Standards
- Demonstrated competence with 3M codefinder, iPM and Microsoft applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check and (where relevant) provision of a Working With Children Check and check on the Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme prior to appointment. In addition, this position requires evidence of vaccination status for COVID-19.

Selection Criteria
- Essential : Eligibility for membership of Health Information Management Association of Australia
- Essential : Relevant Tertiary qualification in Health Information Management and/or proven success in a similar role
- Desirable : Previous experience with 3M Codefinder, iPM and PICQ software
- Essential : Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills
- Desirable : Understanding of Department of Health mandatory reporting requirements, Policy & Funding Guidelines and Victorian Admission Policy.
