Royal Darwin Hospital is the Territory’s largest tertiary referral and teaching hospital and houses Australia’s National Critical Care and Trauma Response Centre. It is a University Teaching Hospital providing acute hospital services to the residents of the Top End of the Northern Territory, and is a tertiary referral hospital for the Kimberley region of Western Australia and the northern neighbours in the event of a man made or natural disaster in the region.
Alice Springs is an iconic outback town, yet the Alice Springs Hospital is the major trauma centre for a region that extends down into South Australia and across borders into Western Australia and Queensland. It is a teaching hospital with medium level Intensive Care facilities and a broad case-mix including chronic kidney disease, complex diabetes, infectious disease, obstetrics, mental health, and day procedures. Alice Springs Hospital also provides rehabilitation services and palliative care.

NT Coding Education Lead
Administrative Officer 7 - Remuneration Package Range: $126,654 - $136,135) Comprising salary $109,514 - $117,815, superannuation, leave loading and the value of 2 weeks extra recreation leave. In addition salary sacrifice provisions
Two vacancies are available, one ongoing in Alice Springs and one Fixed for 12 months in Darwin.
You must have a recognized clinical coding auditing qualification and extensive experience with complex ICD-10-AM, ACHI and Australian Coding Standards, 11th Edition. Experience training clinical coders is desirable.

You must have extensive experience with complex ICD-10-AM, ACHI coding according to Australian Coding Standards, 11th Edition. Experience supervising a clinical coding team is desirable.
