Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in Health Information Services and provide support to the HIS Operations Manager with projects, the digitised scanning software and day to day running of HIS. This role would involve department management, project work, data, policy and process development and systems management and would ideally suit a new graduate or someone wishing to develop skills in these areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Support short and long term organisational projects requiring HIS involvement
- Support the HIS Operations Manager with day to day activities
- Support the Digitised Medical Record in all aspects
Operational / Clinical Performance
- Support trouble shooting of the Digitised Medical Record
- Support the development and updating of guidelines and procedures
- Support organisational and HIS projects
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information as per Peninsula Health Policies and Procedures in accordance with relevant privacy and health records legislation
- Support the HIS Administrative Manager and the HIS Operations Manager in everyday activities
Essential Criteria
- A degree in Health Information Management
- Strong computer skills including the MS Office
- Ability to solve problems
- Ability to apply initiative and prioritise work
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Uses a polite and considerate manner when dealing with others (written and verbal)
Desirable Criteria
- Leadership skills
- Previous work in Health
- Previous project work
- Understanding of process improvement
